What You Will Do

In this role, the Chemist will be responsible for conducting material compatibility and analytical testing, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, generating technical reports, and managing multiple concurrent projects.

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform material compatibility testing using established protocols to assess application suitability in the oil and gas industry.
  • Conduct water analysis testing using various analytical techniques such as ICP and IC.
  • Support senior researchers with sample preparation and project execution.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to support efficient lab operations.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Manage multiple technical requests in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field preferably with laboratory experience (academic or internship-based).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
