The college is governed by the University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees and a seven-member Board of Visitors and derives its support largely from student tuition and fees and legislative appropriations. Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The Recruiting/Admissions Analyst will report to the HIRED Grants Manager and willbe responsible for managing the processing of applications for non-credit programs, including but not limited to avionics, jet painting, energy grid reliability coordinator, energy grid cybersecurity, military-to-civilian airframe/power plant, and others. The position will be responsible for targeted application completion efforts through specialized initiatives and assisting with recruitment efforts. This position will work to develop new recruiting strategies and assist with admissions for non-credit students in accordance with workforce development reporting guidelines. General Responsibilities: * Oversee and direct all aspects of recruiting and admissions for non-credit programs, including avionics. * Understand the non-credit workforce development admissions processes and procedures to assist prospective students with the completion of the application for admission and procurement of needed documents. * Become familiar with all data systems used to correctly process student applications. Proactively contact students as needed to verify data and correct/update data as needed. * Monitor admissions application processing metrics on a weekly basis to ensure the target rate of acceptance is being met. * Ensure applicants are being followed up in a timely and customer friendly manner. * Collaborate with Financial Aid and Admissions in the Enrollment Management Division and Bursar in the Finance and Administration Division. * Collaborate with Bursar in the Finance and Administration Division to ensure scholarship applications are complete, awarded, and billed properly. * Implement effective student applicant communication plans that engage and encourage students to complete admissions applications. * Collaborate with other campus departments and offices regarding admission and recruitment activities/processes. * Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and others * Understand UA-PTC non-credit registration and advising processes to facilitate students from the admissions process to enrollment. * Maintain and ensure confidentiality of student academic records and personal information. * Assist in college recruitment activities as requested. * Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Superior communication skills, oral and written, are essential, especially when responding to non-technical users of campus data; * Ability to work together with a team serving a diverse student population; * Self-motivated, creative, customer-service focused, and detail-oriented; * Ability to self-initiate project tasks after accepting an assignment under general supervision; * Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment; * Proficiency of office technology tools is required (i.e. Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, TEAMS, Excel, and Workday); * Ability to organize multiple tasks and documents that have been concurrently assigned; * Ability to maintain cohesive working files and documentation of project tasks; * Ability to create short reports or narratives that may be required to explain data results or the significance of the data applied to the original statement of the problem; * Ability to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver's license; * Ability to travel in and out of state, including overnight stays as needed.
