Job Description:

The School District of Milton is seeking applicants for a Library Aide position at Milton Middle School. The Library Aide will assist the Library Media Technology Specialist in managing library resources and supporting teachers with research, reference materials, and integrating technology to enhance student learning. Responsibilities extend beyond the library to providing additional student support.

This position will begin on August 19, 2025. The workday begins at 7:20 a.m. and ends at 2:50 p.m., for a total of seven hours per day or thirty-five hours per week. The starting wage is $16.60 per hour, with additional compensation available for candidates who have previous aide experience in a public school setting.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be able to support the Library Media Technology Specialist with student supervision, library operations, and other clerical or instructional duties as assigned. Familiarity with Apple computer software is preferred. Applicants should be organized, demonstrate strong communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents. Prior experience in a school setting and a demonstrated ability to connect with and show empathy toward students is highly desirable.
