WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Define, develop and deploy long term strategies to achieve best-in-class systems and best-in-quality products and services.
  • Champion the nVent quality process and tools, including the quality policy and quality documentation systems.
  • Lead and mentor site quality managers across the segment. Serve as an SME on quality related topics for the segment.
  • Act as guardian, custodian and a promoter of company quality standards. Align Global Quality Objectives with enterprise executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS) and work to align the Quality System to meet current business and customer expectations while continuously evaluating its efficiency. Measure Quality Systems performance against established industry standards.
  • Develop and lead a segment wide internal quality audit process.
  • Drives systemic improvements across Quality metrics through standardization and best practices.
  • Leads the integration of nVent Quality Management System into the current and/or new ERP systems
  • Act as champion for the Company's Customer Complaint System, Corrective/Preventive Action System, and Change Management processes.
  • Own quality Metrics/Dashboards and communication/storage forums. Champion changes in quality metrics, help introduce future metrics and dashboards, develop operational definitions to make it easy for the organization to report accurate and consistent metrics.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Quality, or other related technical degree. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • One or more professional quality certifications required; CQE, CQM, and CQA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in quality engineering and management required. Demonstrated mastery and ability to teach and coach quality tools and methods. Ability to use six sigma and lean manufacturing principles and tools.
  • Digital Literacy in ERP systems, CAPA database, PLM (Enovia preferred), New Product Development process, Data Warehouse (e.g. Snowflake, Intelex, Salesforce, Excel or PowerPoint) and RCCM reporting (e.g. 8D, 8-step, PDCA, Quality Tools)
  • Consistent track record in leading significant company initiatives in quality across multiple sites and/or divisions.
  • Extensive knowledge in building Quality Management Systems and creating/maintaining Quality documentation systems and Procedures in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Completion of Exemplar Global lead auditor training for ISO 9001:2015 required. Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certifications across a multi-site, global organization. Additional lead auditor status and knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 desired.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving & root-cause analysis skills. Certified six sigma black belt level or higher preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as direct the work of others
  • Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally (customers, suppliers, internal functions).
  • Travel required both domestically and internationally, up to 50%.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$146,300.00 - $271,700.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
