Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Project Manager to lead internal communications initiatives within our Data Center organization. This role will be responsible for managing projects from planning through execution, ensuring clear, consistent, and strategic communication across engineering, operations, security, and leadership teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and internal communications, with the ability to translate complex technical information into engaging content. This role will drive stakeholder engagement, reinforce internal branding, and support alignment between internal and external messaging.
Additionally, this position will manage internal events, craft communications for major milestones, and develop strategic communication plans that support Supermicro's data center growth and innovation. Success in this role will be measured by improved communication flow, increased employee engagement, and the effective execution of communication strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage internal communications from inception to completion, including defining scope, setting deadlines, managing resources, and tracking progress.
- Collaborate closely with data center engineering, operations, security, and leadership teams to gather information and ensure accurate and timely communication.
- Proactively identify communication needs and potential challenges, developing solutions to mitigate risks.
- Develop and manage project budgets related to communications and marketing efforts, where applicable.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the data center organization and other relevant departments.
- Facilitate effective communication flow between various teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
- Branding & Messaging:
- Support the development and consistent application of internal branding and messaging for the data center organization.
- Work with corporate marketing to ensure external messaging aligns with internal narratives.
- Event Management:
- Plan and execute internal data center events, such as town halls, all-hands meetings, team-building activities, and recognition programs, to foster engagement and celebrate achievements.
- Strategic Communications Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive internal communications strategies for data center projects and initiatives, aligning with overall company goals and data center objectives.
- Content Creation & Management:
- Craft compelling narratives, announcements, newsletters, presentations, and other communication materials related to data center milestones, upgrades, incidents, and strategic direction.
- Translate complex technical information into easily understandable and engaging content for various internal audiences (engineers, operations, leadership, cross-functional teams).
- Manage and maintain internal communication.
- Measurement & Optimization:
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts through relevant metrics (e.g., engagement rates, feedback).
- Continuously improve communication strategies and tactics.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of progressive experience in project management, with a strong emphasis on internal communications, corporate communications, or marketing.
- Proven experience working within or closely with technical teams, ideally in data centers, IT infrastructure, or a similar highly technical environment.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing communication strategies for complex initiatives.
- Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
- Strong storytelling ability and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with presentation software and internal communication platforms.

Salary Range
$70,000 - $120,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
