Position Overview:
The Construction Scheduler will be responsible for preparing and maintaining detailed project schedules, ensuring updates are timely, and supporting the overall construction timeline. The role will require close collaboration with engineers, superintendents, project managers, and owners to ensure the successful delivery of the project. This position is located on-site near Amarillo, TX, offering a great opportunity to contribute to a major data center development. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain summary and detailed schedules in Primavera P6
Prepare and update Critical Path Method (CPM) baseline schedules
Perform progress updates, tracking performance against baselines
Create Lookahead schedules and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
Produce change comparison reports to track deviations from baseline schedules
Ensure adherence to scheduling standards and policies
Develop and update cost-loaded and resource-loaded schedules as necessary
Support business development or marketing activities, including presentations
Provide training and support to the team on scheduling software and tools
Summarize reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and schedule metrics
Facilitate schedule meetings, including lookahead reviews and critical path reviews
Integrate plans from procurement, engineering, BIM, and subcontractors into the master schedule
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of field scheduling experience, with a preference for project engineering or field experience
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Smartsheet, Procore, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and related scheduling software
Strong understanding of construction materials, systems, and trade practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Other Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
Work Environment:
This position is based in a project field office, with occasional visits to the main office.
Most time will be spent in an office environment working at a computer, with regular site visits to validate field progress, meet with teams, and review construction sequencing.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $83,000 to $93,600 per year DOE
Bonus Package: Available
Per Diem: $160 per day for assignments 50+ miles away
