West Virginia University Health Science Center is currently accepting applications for a (Hybrid) Behavioral Health Therapist Temporary position with the School of Medicine

About the Opportunity

This position involves providing psychological services in clinical care environments under the direct supervision of a licensed, clinical health psychologist.

What You'll Do

The duties of this position include providing diagnostic interviews; consultations; psychotherapy; and psychological assessments in multiple settings. These settings include Ruby Memorial Hospital, Comprehensive Opioid Addiction Treatment Center, Center for Hope and Healing, and the Sleeth Family Medicine Clinic. During provision of these clinical services, the individual position must be comfortable working in interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Length of Assignment: Approximately 8.5 months

Work Hours: 20 Hours per week

• Master's Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology is required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of clinical psychology practicum training.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Advanced skills commensurate with at least 1 year of psychology doctoral training.
• Must have some basic skills at psychological assessment and therapy.

• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a counselor, social worker, or psychologist in the state of West Virginia
