Summary: The Oil Measurement Technician II is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and optimizing oil measurement, remote surveillance of general field operations and maintenance of data reliability regarding production and sales.

Summary: The Oil Measurement Technician II is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and optimizing oil measurement, remote surveillance of general field operations and maintenance of data reliability regarding production and sales.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Support oil measurement supervisor and production foremen in field measurement devices & applications in accordance with company policies and industry standards
  • Create, update, troubleshoot & correct measurement surveillance tools to ensure adequate tracking and verification
  • Calibrate various types of flow meters common to the petrochemical industry
  • Calibration of Coriolis Flow Meters using the Master Meter Calibration Method
  • Crosstrain with personnel for basic automation operations and problem-solving techniques
  • Monitor and analyze batteries and sales meters daily and as needed continually in accordance with Diamondback E&P Standards
  • Recognize inaccurate measurements on statements and daily reports and work to ensure issues are corrected in a timely manner and apply learnings to prevent future errors
  • Contact appropriate personnel for measurement inaccuracies and ensure corrected data is input appropriately
  • Responsible for witnessing proof of mass and volumetric meters that include Micro Motion, PD meters, Turbine meters
  • Review measurement design and work with Engineering to ensure construction projects utilize field-friendly and accurate measurement devices
  • Responsible for Scheduling and addressing Work Orders and Preventative Maintenance of company owned units
  • Vacation relief for I&E Tech's / Supervisor
  • Work non-traditional and on-call hours, as needed (nights, weekends, etc.)
  • Frequent travel to field locations

RequiredQualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of (2+) years measurement experience and (+4) years of oil and gas experience
  • Understanding of test vessels, piping, meters and O&G operations
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic computer skills and to learn company-specific applications
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Able to meet insurability standards to drive a company vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SCADA and basic programming
  • Mechanical experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively among various teams
