Be the voice of the customer and business: Represent the needs of the customers and business stakeholders. Gather insights into market trends, customer desires and business objectives. Clear product goals: Responsible for communicating a clear product vision and overarching goals, ensuring everyone on the team understands "why" they are building something and what impact it should have. Strategic Alignment: Ensure that the development work aligns with the broader product strategy and business objectives.
Product Backlog Management and Prioritization:
Backlog Ownership: Owns the product backlog, which is a dynamic, prioritized list of features, enhancements and fixes. Prioritization for Value: Continuously refine and prioritize backlog items to ensure the development team is always working on the most valuable tasks that will deliver the highest return on investment (ROI). Detailing Requirements: Work to break down large initiatives into smaller, actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria that the development team can understand and implement.
Facilitate Development and Collaboration:
Accessibility and Responsiveness: Readily available to the development team to answer questions, clarify requirements and provide guidance quickly, minimizing roadblocks and ensuring efficient progress. Explaining the "Why": Communicate the rationale behind each feature and how it contributes to the larger product vision, fostering a sense of ownership and motivation within the development team. Inspecting and Adapting: Review the work done by the development team in each sprint to ensure it aligns with the product vision and quality standards.
Ensure Product Quality and Success:
Customer-Centricity: Guide the team in developing solutions that truly meet customer expectations, leading to user satisfaction and adoption. Risk Mitigation: Identify potential challenges, technical debt, or emerging opportunities that might impact the product's success and address them proactively.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Relevant Experience or Degree in: Business or Computer Science; Combination of relevant training and/ or experience in lieu of degree Experience working within an Agile development environment Demonstrated experience contributing to the launch of new software products or features focused on user experience. Typically Minimum 3 Years Relevant Exp Experience in similar business product services and/or external customer/market experience
