Requirements From your PASSION to ours Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Logistics TMS Administrator based in Buffalo, NY. The Transportation Administrator is responsible for scheduling pickup and delivery appointment times for all transportation flows across the US network. This includes excellent interpersonal communication between departmental colleagues, customers, and transportation service providers. Telephone, e-mail, and internet-based software tools are utilized to coordinate appointments, appointment changes, and status updates. In addition, internal and external reporting using MS Word and MS Excel related to transportation planning and transportation execution performance is conducted on a periodic basis. This position requires regular communication and collaboration with departmental colleagues to achieve departmental objectives. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: * Scheduling & Rescheduling appointments for pickups and deliveries for all Delivered POs across the Lactalis USA distribution network for customers and suppliers. * Supporting Transportation Planning to provide solutions to transactional exceptions across the distribution network. * Real time prioritization of workload on an hour-to-hour basis as the business needs. * Daily navigation of multiple customer scheduling platforms (Manhattan, BlueJay, ONE Network, RetailLink, TURVO, Ryder, etc) * Daily maintenance and publication of Inbound and Outbound schedules to all Lactalis USA Warehouses. * Action and process changes as a result of 'past cut-off' requests. * Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders for the Lactalis USA Logistics team. * Comfortability to maintain daily checkpoint communications with all stakeholders across the Lactalis USA network. * This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions, it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Experience * 1-2 years' experience scheduling dock appointments and/or related distribution or transportation experience, preferred. * Comparable data entry or high-volume communication or customer service experience. * Enterprise-level experience preferred. Specialized Knowledge * Knowledge of the United States geography and the US highway, rail and port systems. * Supply Chain/Transportation/Warehousing/Inventory Control concepts * Dept of Transportation regulations regarding commercial drivers and FMCSA guidelines. * Transportation and Warehousing terminology, TMS (Transportation Management System), Tracking and Visibility Tools (MacroPoint, FourKites, Project44, TruckerTools, etc), Skills/Abilities * Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel. * Professional written and verbal communication skills. * Time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced. High-volume environment. * Self-starters with a strong sense or urgency and a desire to solve problems, preferred. Education * A minimum of a High School Diploma and preferably some post-secondary education.
