GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

We are seeking a per-diem Clinical Research Coordinator at the Corrigan Minehan Heart Center Clinical Research Program in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The Heart Center has a dynamic and growing program in clinical and translational research, dedicated to advancing our understanding of a wide range of cardiovascular diseases and innovative interventions. The individual hired for this position will work as an integral member of a diverse team of researchers to ensure the successful execution of groundbreaking cardiovascular clinical trials.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities may vary according to projects, but include the following:

  • Maintains a good understanding of the study protocols.

  • Subject recruitment and enrollment.

  • Acting as liaison with internal and external collaborators and sponsors to move study forward.

  • Managing research data, biological samples, and supporting other research project operations as needed.

  • Conduct blood draws, and collect saliva and other samples as required by the protocol.

  • Assist with marketing and social media development.

  • Recruit at community engagement events and in clinic settings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants should possess:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with patients and study subjects.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 1 year of Clinical Research experience is required. Past experience in laboratory skills, and patient facing experience is strongly encouraged. Some familiarity with medical terminology is needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This role requires attending community engagement events and recruiting patients on-site at Mass General Brigham hospital locations that are approved under the study protocol. Occasional weekend hours may be needed.

  • Capability to work well independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple dynamic projects and commitments.

  • Willingness to commit to at least two years in the position is preferred.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree required.
