The Press Operator Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of printing presses by assisting with job preparation, setup, and cleanup. This position works closely with Press Operators to ensure all press runs meet quality and safety standards, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to learn the technical aspects of press operations, with the potential to grow into more advanced responsibilities over time.

Starting pay at $19/hr.

When your actions lead to success:

• Assist the Press Operator in their duties, such as cleaning anilox rolls needed for future run orders. Assist in changing anilox rolls, doctor blades, ink fountains, printing cylinders and other press components.
• As part of the training in this role, eventual duties would include mounting/demounting plates, setting print impressions, webbing various press components, running and or filling in on press in Press Operator's absence.
• Report any equipment or material problems to team/team leader immediately for prompt correction of problem.
• Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

• Complies with all the standards that are followed in the TC Huntley plant, including, but not limited to-Health, Safety, Wellness (HSW), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), Continuous Improvement (CI) and any other processes established within the TC Huntley plant.
• Responsible for reporting all safety, quality, and food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
• Performs responsibilities to expected outcomes.
• Communicates openly, truthfully, and compassionately with respect for individual differences.
• Identify issues and problems within manufacturing and quality processes. Work with Supervisor/Manager to define and resolve problems, as well as recommend improvement processes.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
