The Integrated Innovation Institute at Carnegie Mellon University breaks down the silos that impede innovation. We believe that by uniting the disciplines of engineering, business and design we can build impactful product and service solutions that create real value for real people.

We are searching for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Content Writing intern to join the marketing team at the Integrated Innovation Institute. You'll have the opportunity to create engaging articles, blog posts, and marketing materials. You'll collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm ideas, conduct research and interviews, and produce content.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and writing articles to be published on the III's website and used in recruiting and marketing efforts

  • Pitching new ideas for content.

  • Creating other marketing materials (copywriting, white papers, etc.) as needed.

  • Interview subject matter experts across the iii team for article content

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a master's degree in professional writing.

  • Exceptional writing and grammar skills with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and engaging manner.

  • A genuine passion for writing and storytelling, and a desire to continuously improve your craft.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering error-free content.

  • High level of accountability and ability to work independently

  • Ability to work between 5-20 hours per week, depending on project workload

  • Location: Pittsburgh, PA

You must demonstrate:

  • The ability to be self-motivated and prioritize and manage time effectively.

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
