As the Property Manager at Escobedo at Verde Vista, a 132-unit affordable housing community, you will be at the forefront of that mission. This role is ideal for a high-performing property leader who thrives on making a meaningful impact through housing, community partnerships, and resident success. Escobedo at Verde Vista is a dynamic property that includes LIHTC, HOME, HOME Inc, and PBV programs, and operates in partnership with Save the Family.
We are looking for a results-driven leader who can take ownership of daily operations, drive financial performance, foster a strong team culture, and ensure regulatory compliance. You'll also have the opportunity to strengthen our relationship with residents and create a welcoming, supportive environment that fosters long-term stability.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and manage an on-site team focused on excellence and accountability.
- Maintain strong occupancy by building strong relationships with prospective and current residents.
- Oversee leasing, compliance, and resident recertifications for LIHTC, HUD, and other affordable housing programs.
- Drive performance through budget planning, expense control, and revenue optimization.
- Conduct unit inspections, manage maintenance coordination, and uphold property standards.
- Partner with community organizations like Save the Family to enhance resident support.
- Build a vibrant resident culture by planning and promoting on-site events and activities.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing or with LIHTC, HUD, or PBV programs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and inspire a team.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer service mindset.
- Experience with property management systems (RealPage preferred) and general computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and compliance standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; related coursework or certifications a plus.
