- Work with CTO to develop and execute strategic priorities and ensure product engineering vision aligns with the company's overall goals
- Oversee the Engineering and QA team functions, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and ensuring product roadmap objectives are achieved on time and in budget
- Lead and develop the leadership team to enable achievement of their departmental and career goals, including performance management, professional development, and providing strategic or tactical guidance and support as needed
- Define, implement, and monitor a set of engineering KPI's and performance measurements using dashboards and other tracking mechanisms to measure velocity, quality, uptime, deployment frequency, incident response, and other metrics that help identify effectiveness and opportunities for improvement
- Review existing procedures and development practices to remove roadblocks, drive process improvements and standardization across workflows, QA integration, tooling, documentation, and reporting
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Sales, Customer Success and other cross-functional teams and leaders to align on priorities, roadmaps, and expectations for engineering delivery and support
- Assist with technical or critical issues, escalations, or other client-related challenges to support resolution and client satisfaction
- Provide support for M&A activities to evaluate prospective options from a product perspective and help execute post-close product integration strategy
- Keep informed of client requests, industry trends, or general market needs and provide insights or ideas to help us continue improving products and processes
- Travel to orientation, industry or company events, or other onsite meetings as required
- Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned
What You'll Need:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, advanced degree preferred
- Successful track record of producing innovative solutions and product applications that have a user-centered design, perform well in the market, and produce profitable recurring revenue
- Excellent technological skillsets across Engineering functions, along with in-depth experience with software development lifecycle and delivering on large-scale roadmap objectives on time and in budget, preferably with cloud-based experience using Azure or AWS
- Proven experience leading larger or matrixed engineering and software development teams and processes while managing multiple, complex product lines, preferably in a high-growth, SaaS environment leading both development and QA functions
- Extensive experience implementing, developing, and transforming the Software Development Lifecycle and other operational policies and procedures for continuous improvement and to accelerate results
- Experience with private equity, M&A growth, partnership integrations or platforms, and/or integrating legacy enterprise commercial applications into an existing product suite
- Experience with measuring effectiveness, building dashboards, reports or visualizing data to provide insights and recommendations to senior leaders regarding developer and QA productivity, quality and efficiency
- Strong understanding or experience using off-shore or third-party development resources
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex or technical concepts for all audiences
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority and complex objectives simultaneously
- High attention to detail and exceptional analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align the engineering roadmap with business goals and product vision
- Ability to adapt, stay resilient and lead others through fast-paced and large-scale changes
- Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information
- Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge or skills
- Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration and team orientation
- Ability to work onsite at the corporate headquarters on occasion or as needed
- Ability to travel as required, up to 25%

Position Salary Range: The annual base salary range for this full-time role is $175,000 - $240,000 USD + bonus + benefits + perks + community gains. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, education or training and other relevant qualifications.
