Executive Director Product Management
Position Overview Responsible for owning all aspects of our product portfolio from concept to launch as well as obsolescence while ensuring it meets customer needs and business goals. This position is responsible for product management including but not limited to lifecycle planning, products, features, high level specifications, competitive analysis, benchmarking, pricing, profitability, and supporting cross functional groups as it relates to technology, innovation, and sourcing. - Developing and maintaining a product roadmap, which outlines the product's development stages, key features, and timelines.
- Developing and maintaining product lifecycles that support the market and business needs.
- Working with project management, deciding which features or improvements should be worked on based on market need, customer impact, business value, timing to market, and resource availability.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams like engineering, marketing, sales, design, and customer support to ensure product goals are met.
- Coordinating agreements and product development with outside technology partners.
- Regularly communicating progress, timelines, and changes to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Work cross functionally with engineering, project management, quality, and operations to bring best practices to our product management processes.
- Writing clear product requirements and user stories to guide development teams in building features that meet user needs.
- Collaborating with development teams during sprint planning and backlog refinement to ensure the right tasks are prioritized.
- Reviewing product prototypes or early versions, gathering feedback, and iterating on features as necessary.
- Support with the creation of product documentation, training materials, and ensure the team is ready to support the product.
- Support marketing in their development of promotional strategies, positioning, and communication plans for product launches.
- Analyzing product performance post-launch, including usage data, customer feedback, and business KPIs to assess success.
- Engaging with customers to understand their pain points, needs, and desires, ensuring the product resonates with the target audience.
- Representing the voice of the customer in product decisions, ensuring features solve real problems and deliver value.
- Manage, coach, and mentor the product management team.
- Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Product Management, Business Administration or Relevant Degree. MBA is desired. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- 10+ years in product management, product marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical and business case development experience.
- Have led product development teams in a cross functional matrix organization.
- Ability to understand high level technical products, concepts, and technologies.
- Strong data analytics - evaluate and interpret data to develop strategic direction.
- Strategic, creative, innovative, and forward-thinking.
- Flexible, fast learner who thrives in a constantly changing work environment.
- Effective writing and presentation skills.

Working Conditions
- Mostly office environment, occasional light manufacturing environment
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting
- Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required
- May work remotely
