How you'll make an impact:

The Social Content Associate will be responsible for transforming off-platform moments into engaging, shareworthy social media content. You'll also support day-to-day publishing needs, including data tracking, copyediting, and video organization.Collaboration is crucial in this role, as our team acts as a conduit for programming, brand, sales, partner marketing, and more. We understand how each platform works and what drives engagement, making us the go-to social experts across the organization. This might mean partnering with the video team to create strong social cutdowns from long-form interviews and performances, or producing social-first content at offsite events. This person will play a key role in making sure our content is timely, engaging, and tailored to each platform.

What you'll do:

  • Review video footage to identify the best clips for use on social media platforms, focusing on moments that are engaging, shareable, and aligned with brand.
  • Shoot, produce and edit social first content that adheres to platform-specific best practices and aligns with brand voice & tone.
  • Assist in archiving, labeling and organizing footage from interviews, b-roll, and off-sites.
  • Pitch, develop and produce original content for use on social media.
  • Partner with content producers on experimenting with trending video styles, formats, and effects.
  • Help support Social Content team with managing SiriusXM's content calendars.
  • Write copy for social media posts across the SiriusXM brand and Sports accounts as assigned.
  • Coordinate with external agencies via Monday.com to traffic creative assets and coordinate other tasks related to content distribution.
  • Generate unique tracking links to ensure social content is properly measured.
  • Manually input social media performance data to track and monitor key metrics across platforms as directed by team lead.
  • Work across internal stakeholders including Programming, Talent, PR, Marketing and Paid Social departments to facilitate asset requests and approval of content.
  • Keep up to date on the latest trends in digital and social video production and share with the larger team.
  • Provide coverage during the evenings, on weekends and/or holiday weekends may be required with notice.
  • Support Social Content Producers with publishing assets for their channels as needed.
  • Assist the Social Content Department with other projects assigned.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in media, marketing, and entertainment industry.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience creating social content and working professionally in social.
  • Experience with social media publishing platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is essential.
  • Proficiency with tools like CapCut, Adobe Express and similar platforms are a plus.
  • Experience creating videos and/or social media content for large brands or news media outlets.
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific video formats, aspect ratios, and engagement techniques.
  • Understanding of basic social media metrics.
  • Experience using Monday.com or similar project management software.
  • Music/Television industry experience is plus.
  • Deep understanding, curiosity and use of multiple social media platforms and internet culture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Must work positively and collaboratively with other team members.
  • Strong analytical skills to carry out a metrics-driven approach to content creation.
  • Self-starter attitude and the ability to initiate and carry out projects with minimal supervision,
  • Must have the legal authority to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $52,000 to $64,500 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
