Director Financial Planning & Analysis

With 1,300 employees, 19 global facility locations and selling into over 80 countries, the Director FP&A at Johnson Outdoors, will serve as a strategic finance partner to the company and its Centers of Excellence (COEs). Responsible for driving financial clarity, scenario modeling, investment analysis, and performance tracking to support growth, innovation, and operational excellence across these high-impact functions. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer of Johnson Outdoors and be based out of our Racine, Wisconsin headquarters.

About the Role:

Digital Commerce FP&A Leadership
* Serves as the dedicated finance business partner to the Digital Commerce COE for decision-support and strategic analyses.
* Maintains and evolves the Digital Commerce "shadow" P&L, including topline, contribution margin, and key operating expense allocations.
* Conducts analyses into revenue incrementality, clarifying net value from digital channels (e.g., Amazon, DTC, Omnichannel).
* Models growth scenarios, aligning with topline and margin expectations.
* Quantifies economic return of strategic investments and guides budget decisions.
* Collaborates with the business units and operations to align on decisions and support needed for digital growth plans.

Innovation FP&A Leadership
* Partners with the Innovation COE to harmonize business case development process across Business Units.
* Reviews all new product business cases for adherence to hurdle rates and margin requirements.
* Develops best-practice financial models for cannibalization, pricing, and incrementality.
* Leads post-launch financial reviews and present findings to the Innovation Council.
* Supports lifecycle financial planning for new products, from launch through maturity.

Strategic Finance & Collaboration
* Conducts competitive and peer group analysis to inform strategy.
* Provides insights and decision-support as needed for Operations and R&D COEs.
* Collaborates cross-functionally with BU leaders, COEs, and Corporate Finance teams.
* Provides ad hoc financial support during strategic reviews and BU planning cycles.
* Champions financial transparency and accountability across innovation and digital initiatives.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

* Typically requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent. An MBA is preferred.

* Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible FP&A experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

* Experience supporting digital commerce. Strong understanding of digital commerce ecosystems platforms like Amazon, DTC, and Omnichannel strategies.

* Strong data analytic, financial modeling, scenario planning, and ROI analysis skills.

* Strong communication skills to deliver insights to the executive team and cross-functional stakeholders. Skilled at aligning diverse teams (Digital, Innovation, BU leaders) around financial strategies.

* Experience with New Product Innovation processes.

* Familiarity with shadow P&L structures, contribution margin analysis, and cost allocation.

* Demonstrated success in project execution and strong project management skills.

* Experience with tools like Excel, SAP, BI platforms, and financial planning software.
