The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine offers a unique opportunity for a Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist to join our exceptional multidisciplinary Program with the opportunity to create a unique clinical practice and engage in teaching and clinical research at a world-class university. Our Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Programs are known internationally for innovation and excellence. As a major transplant center in the Midwest, we have state of the art interventions including durable ventricular assist device implantation, temporary mechanical circulatory support/cardiogenic shock program, and donation after circulatory death for heart transplant. Our Heart Failure team encompasses programs for amyloidosis, sarcoidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension. Our faculty also lead nationally known clinical research in stem-cell therapy, vagal nerve stimulation and drug discovery for heart failure treatment.
