We are seeking an experienced Tableau Administrator to join our data team in Newport Beach, CA.

This role is responsible for the end-to-end administration, installation, configuration, and support of BI Tools including Tableau and Power BI environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of BI platforms while supporting business users and data teams.

How you'll help move us forward:

Tableau Administration

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Tableau Server across environments (Dev, QA, Prod).
  • Manage user access, permissions, and security groups in Tableau.
  • Monitor server health, performance, and usage; troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
  • Automate administrative tasks using scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Tabcmd, REST API).
  • Manage content migration and version control of dashboards and data sources.
  • Collaborate with developers and analysts to support dashboard deployment and performance tuning.

PowerBI Support

  • Administer Power BI Service including workspace management, user roles, and gateway configuration.
  • Support Power BI report publishing, dataset refreshes, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies across Power BI assets.
  • Assist in integrating Power BI with other enterprise systems and data sources.

General BI Platform Support

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for BI platform issues and service requests.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • Participate in audits, capacity planning, and disaster recovery exercises.
  • Stay current with BI platform updates, features, and industry trends.

The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience administering Tableau Server in an enterprise environment.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Power BI Service and Desktop.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and BI architecture.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, SSO, SSL, and network security concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, or other cloud data platforms.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for BI assets.
  • Tableau and/or Power BI certifications are a plus.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$110,700.00 - $135,300.00
