Job Description Job Summary This paragraph summarizes the general nature, level and purpose of the job. The Infrastructure Program Manager for Planning, Design, and Construction is accountable for program management and planning for infrastructure services supporting all design and constructions projects at Stanford Medicine Children's Health. Partners with interdepartmental stakeholders to coordinate building commissioning and activation ensuring ongoing operational standards are maintained. Responsible for operational issues related to program administration including, but not limited to, manages and coordinating the day-to-day operations and resources needed to support Planning, Design, and Construction projects relating to infrastructure. Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct. * Guided by the department's objectives, oversees large strategic and cross-functional programs by defining program intent and overseeing deliverable development to ensure project goals are met. Operationalizes department plans, including business, service and/or organizational priorities that support strategic business goals in collaboration with the Executive Director and other key stakeholders. * Responsible for program management and planning for infrastructure services supporting all design and constructions projects at Stanford Medicine Children's Health. Works closely with leaders and program managers within Planning, Design, and Construction to determine, coordinate, and support the requirements for the program involving and impacting land use & licensing, medical equipment, clinical services, finance, and operational policies and procedures. * Partners with other departments, like Facility Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Sustainability Program, and Digital IS, to ensure the program and designs support and reflect the ongoing operational standards for engineering and the latest in sustainability standards. Coordinates building/project commissioning and activation activities into full operations ensuring transfer of knowledge of all systems and readiness while maintaining operations and ensuring safety. * Manges quality control measures to mitigate risk, ensure safety and compliance with department/hospital policies, government codes, and regulation. Ensures that project teams conform to the requirements. Maintains communications on a regular and timely basis, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of relevant issues, status and required actions * Analyzes proposed capital improvement and asset management plans to provide recommendations regarding project feasibility, design, and timeline for day-to-day project management and completion. * Identifies and resolves complex technical, operational, and organizational problems, applying critical thinking to recommend standards and operating strategies that mitigate risk, propel growth, and improve system-side process and procedure. * Assists in the development of operating policies and procedures, guidelines, and standards for the department. Leads and drives cross-organization business and process improvements * Executes projects within the program directly relate to Planning, Design, and Construction services, while utilizing the best strategic and facilities planning practices in coordination with overall projects within the program and capital plan. * Manages program budgets within the guidelines and parameters established by the department. Prepares and maintains accurate, consistent, timely and auditable project records and cost estimates, as applicable, within department guidelines. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. * Education: Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university. * Experience: Seven (7) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience * Licensure/Certification: None Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities These are the observable and measurable attributes and skills required to perform successfully the essential functions of the job and are generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education, or licensure/certification. * Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with widely diverse groups, including individuals at all levels both within and outside the organization and gain their cooperation. * Ability to handle potentially sensitive situations by applying consultative skills in working with internal and external constituent groups. * Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines * Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities. * Ability to prioritize work by making informed judgments and to develop solutions for complex problems. * Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Ability to provide leadership and influence others. * Ability to resolve conflicts and/or negotiate with others to achieve positive results and establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships * Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility. * Knowledge of technical, professional and business in the fields of healthcare delivery, architecture, and construction, and building design process. Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, administration, fiscal and personnel management. * Ability to budget, make financial projections and write reports. Additional Information Pay Range Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
