POSITION SPECIFICS A DevOps Engineer is being sought to work within a team environment, exploring and implementing technology that serves the needs of Penn State and the University Libraries. This is an opportunity to grow your skillset, be an active voice, and contribute to leading edge technology implementations at scale. The IT team that the DevOps Engineer is joining supports the University Libraries broadly to bolster the strategic initiatives of discovery, access, and preservation, as well as advancing research at Penn State. Some example services include our online catalog, open data and open access repositories, electronic theses and dissertation system, and the libraries' website. This position will actively work on automation, integration, performance, and to operationally enhance our discovery, access, and repository services. Working both individually and collaboratively in a team environment and utilizing time management skills will be essential as the DevOps Engineer completes this position's responsibilities, which include but are not limited to: All Phases of Systems Development

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS If filled as DevOps Engineer - Senior Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 6+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None If filled as DevOps Engineer - Advanced Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneAPPLICATION MATERIALS To be considered, applicants must upload a resume and cover letter. LOCATION The location of this position is flexible and can operate fully remote within the United States, fully in-person at the University Park Campus, or in a hybrid model of both in-person and remote.
