Job Summary:The position is responsible for registering, collecting payments, rooming, assisting the provider with care and treatment, discharging, and following-up with patients. The role accompanies patients and guests through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and maximize the patient experience; before, during, and after the patient visit. The position is responsible for assisting the provider with front office and back office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis. Acting as the patient advocate, the role has continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families/significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management. Required Physical Requirements: Constant (67-100% of workday) use of arms and hands; frequent (34-66% of workday) standing, walking, sitting; occasional (0-33% of workday) bending and squatting; ability to lift 35 lbs.; ability to push and pull up to 20 lbs.; auditory and visual skills to include color determination Mental Requirements: Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills. Potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens; must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. For MRI Associates: Must complete MRI Associate screening and be approved to work in the MRI environment (Zones 3 & 4) at all times.
