You'll join the network equipment repair and quality team where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the wireless and wireline network repair and quality operation. All Verizon returned network hardware comes through our team where we test and repair in order to re-certify and reuse this equipment which saves the company nearly three hundred million dollars in new purchase cost avoidance each year. You'll be part of a team of individuals who work daily with OEMs, third party vendors, warehouse logistics partners, field operations and internal engineering teams to process a high volume of repairs and improve quality to bolster network reliability. The fast-paced environment you will join will require you to provide quick turnaround for AD-HOC operational requests and reporting to support day to day operations. Customers expect our networks to perform at a high level all the time. That's where you come in. The role is split into two key aspects, hardware test development, validation and qualification as well as hardware field quality support and continuous improvement. For the test development and validation aspect of the role, you will be working in partnership with our internal network engineering teams, OEM's and third-party vendors in order to implement proper testing and repair protocols at our different repair facilities that ensure equipment high quality and reliability when hardware is redeployed to the field. The candidate should possess an excellent understanding of test engineering fundamentals and proven knowledge of network hardware functionality. You will need to have knowledge of industry standards (3GPP) and procedures to assess and analyze product quality performance of wireless and wireline products consisting of 3G/4G/5G/CBAND RAN network hardware, switching and transport central office equipment, power and routers. While maintaining day to day operations is imperative, you'll also develop and manage large scale transformational projects/programs for the optimization of the operation and its quality. Working across the company, you'll use your analytical expertise to identify trends, issues and opportunities, all with the goal of improving the customer experience and finding ways to make our business even better. You will also leverage your analytical skills to mine and transform large data sets to provide KPI visibility to senior management. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $107,000.00 - $205,000.00. |
