STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Maintenance Controllers for a direct-hire opportunity with a U.S.-based commercial airline in Denver. This full-time role includes relocation assistance and places you at the center of real-time aircraft maintenance decision-making.

Position Overview

As an Aircraft Maintenance Controller, you will oversee daily maintenance activities, provide real-time technical guidance, and coordinate across multiple departments to ensure aircraft readiness and operational safety. This role is essential to maintaining schedule integrity, regulatory compliance, and fleet reliability.


Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and support aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting and technical guidance to line maintenance teams
  • Authorize MEL and CDL deferrals and determine required repair actions
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, and the System Operations Control center to manage out-of-service aircraft
  • Route aircraft to meet operational, maintenance, and recovery needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to delays, cancellations, and mechanical discrepancies
  • Log shift activity and ensure clear communication during shift handoffs
  • Maintain fleet-wide situational awareness of aircraft mechanical status
  • Promote safety, compliance, and accountability in all maintenance decisions

Required Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
  • Minimum of 3 years of Line Maintenance experience, or a combination of Line, Heavy Maintenance, and Avionics troubleshooting
  • Airbus aircraft experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and Maintenance Control procedures
  • Clear communication, sound judgment, and decisive decision-making skills
  • Completion of Maintenance Training Required Inspection Item course (Vol. D) required after hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Airbus A319 and A320 family aircraft
  • Previous Maintenance Control or Maintenance Coordination Center experience
  • FCC First Class Radio Telephone Certificate
