$7,500 Sign on Bonus Available!!! $2,500 Relocation Bonus (greater than 50 miles) (external candidates only) The RN Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Manager of Clinical Operations in the administrative duties of the Med/Surg unit and providing leadership through collaboration with the healthcare team and maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. This position will participate in organizational and unit based quality improvement activities, and provide input on standards of care to maintain quality patient outcomes. Will also maintain the clinical competencies needed to provide direct patient care when the need arises. Qualifications Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA); National Nursing Certification within 3 years - Varies; Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Additional State - Varies, Education: Bachelor's Degree: Nursing (Required), Work Experience: Nursing 2+ years Responsibilities Performs essential job functions of direct reports. Fulfills job duties of direct care RN 2 as necessary.Coordinates daily nursing and staffing activities of Inpatient unit.Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.Recommend various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, and promotions.Resolves work related issues, or assists employees in solving work related issues, confers with manager to resolve more complex situations.Supports the Manager in collecting information for accreditation surveys and departmental audits. Actively assists the Manager with implementation of the recommended changes.Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.Maintain staff schedules.Makes work assignments, reviews, and edits the work of direct reports, including delivering coaching and disciplinary actions.Deliver, plan, and forecast department and role specific education as department educator for Med/Surg unit.Conducts regular meetings with staff for information dissemination and education. Participates in applicable committees/councils to role as directed. Develops, implements, and participates in quality improvement initiatives. Manages unit based, patient specific supportive care equipment rentals. Responsive to direct care staff in 24/7 communication and contact coverage. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $41.36per hour - $71.14per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
