Overview LMI is looking for a Senior Lead Systems Engineer to support a federal program management office (PMO) responsible for planning, acquiring, and managing the operation of technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe and facilitate travel and trade. We are seeking an energetic self-starter who is focused on practical and efficient solutions delivered by a multi-dimensional collaborative team. An ideal candidate will have a good understanding of systems engineering, team leadership, program and project management, information technology, operational technology, and a high-level understanding of networking design and capabilities. Travel may be required once or twice a quarter to stations on the southwest and other borders, as needed. This is a full-time position located in the Washington, DC Metro area. Lead and manage a team of over 100 engineers and analysts in applying systems engineering best practices to support system design, system acquisition, sustainment, identify and mitigate risks, shape technical planning and management discussions, support and provide insight to stakeholders, and identify systemic issues.
