The Provider Education Senior Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining a high-quality digital experience for providers, which includes the development of a wide range of training and educational resources. This is not a provider-facing role. Instead, it focuses on the development of tools, resources, and content that enable providers to interact successfully with the health plan.

This role supports Medica's commitment to operational excellence and provider engagement by creating industry-specific training content and support materials. The position requires strong collaboration across teams, independent decision-making, and the ability to adapt content to meet evolving business needs. Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities



  • Develop and deliver industry-specific training materials for provider audiences
  • Integrate these resources into provider communication and education websites and landing pages
  • Maintain and update content for accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness
  • Manage nuances between networks and geography that may result in different provider needs from the resources they consult
  • Serve as a resource for peers and internal stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement of training programs through feedback and performance data


The successful candidate will have a solid background in instructional design and educational writing, with a passion for learning and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly. They will demonstrate strong writing skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional work. Adaptability, creativity, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in training or instructional design, preferably in the healthcare industry


Preferred Qualifications



  • Proven experience creating narratives for training or educational resources
  • Familiarity with creating educational web interfaces, instructional tools, and adult learning methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Skills and Abilities



  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Ability to assess audience needs and tailor training materials accordingly
  • Experience developing testing and evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness
  • Knowledge of healthcare provider experience preferred


This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI.

The full salary grade for this position is $61,500 - $105,400. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $61,500 - $92,190. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
