We are seeking a Corporate Quality Engineer to join our team in Simpsonville, SC. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our Internal Quality Audit (IQA) system, overseeing execution, follow-up, and reporting to ensure the highest standards of quality across our operations.

Key Responsibilities



  • Help provide support during KEMET 3rd party quality certification audits, such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS 9100, assisting manufacturing locations by providing technical support during the audits, as needed.
  • Continually review for industry changes that could have an impact on the KEMET Quality Management System (QMS) and provide input on revisions to Corporate Documentation (Quality Operating Documents) accordingly. Provide support to manufacturing locations to help with understanding of requirement changes.
  • Provide input to revisions of KEMET Quality Operating Documents.
  • Provide input to review of Customer Quality Requirements.
  • Gain knowledge of Military Specifications applicable to KEMET.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor of Science degree in related field and/or applicable work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Quality role
  • Manufacturing experience (quality or process engineering)
  • Proficiency in English verbal and written skills
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to coach and train others
  • Understanding of QMS purpose and ability to provide input for continual improvement
  • Ability to thoroughly review and understand quality standards, military specifications, and industry standards and apply this knowledge to the KEMET QMS.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods
