Parks Office Assistant 3 (Recreation) - Seasonal

Hourly Range: $16.70 - $25.0

Closing Date: June 13, 2025 or upon receiving 50 applications.

Shift time - Schedule has mid shift hours which are 12:30p - 8:30p.

Job Summary

This role serves internal and external stakeholders by answering inquiries, maintaining databases, and assisting management with various projects, recording keeping, and office maintenance.

Job Responsibilities



  • Answer Inquiries - Assists internal and external stakeholders over the phone, in person, and via email with all inquiries. Provide customer service as needed over the phone, in person, and via email.


  • Data Entry - Various data entry in excel and software utilized by Milwaukee County and Milwaukee County Parks.


  • Process Payments - Collect and record payments. Process credit card, cash, and check payments.


  • Keep Office Records - Assists Manager and supervisor with office record keeping and filing system. Maintain databases.


  • Maintain Office Space - Assist Manager and supervisor with office maintenance and cleanses, and office supplies stock.


  • Special Projects - Special projects as assigned by manager or supervisor.


  • Other duties as assigned - Assist in other building duties as needed or as assigned by management.


Required Education, License/Certification and Experience



  • Current residency within the State of Wisconsin required
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License required and must be maintained throughout employment
  • High School Diploma
  • At least One (1) year of experience in Data Entry, Office Management, Customer Service, or Clerical
  • Basic knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Teams).
  • Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 25 lbs on an occasional basis.



Certification -



  • CPR Certification within 1 year



Note: This Original Examination is open to current residents of the State of Wisconsin. The selection process will be job related and will consist of one or more of the following: education and experience evaluation; written, oral, or performance tests, or other assessment methods.
