The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs' corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm's distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firm's relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policy makers and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firm's evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firm's social and sustainability agendas.

About the Client Strategy Group

Within the Executive Office, the group works with teams across regions and divisions to drive the client interaction strategy on behalf of the firm's Executive Officers, including the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Additionally, the team is responsible for collaborating with senior representatives across the businesses to gather relationship updates and prepare briefing materials for the executives ahead of each client touchpoint. The team also coordinates the executives' participation in key industry conferences and events and helps prepare them for media engagements and other public speaking roles.

The Opportunity

The Executive Office is seeking an exceptionally organized, proactive and detail-oriented assistant to work with the Client Strategy Group. This role demands the highest level of professionalism, discretion and adaptability to effectively manage a dynamic environment. The assistant will deliver seamless administrative, logistical and operational support, ensuring the team's efficiency and effectiveness across a wide array of engagements with leadership and other key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be available from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET on Monday through Friday each week, to work in the office.

Key Responsibilities



  • Calendar Management: Proactively manage and optimize the team's complex and dynamic calendars, strategically prioritizing engagements and ensuring seamless coordination across multiple time zones with internal and external stakeholders. Anticipate potential conflicts and proactively resolve scheduling challenges.
  • Expense Management: Meticulously process and track expenses and reconcile credit card statements in compliance with company policies.
  • Travel Coordination: Independently plan and execute intricate international and domestic travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, visas, ground transportation and security protocols. Demonstrate resourcefulness in navigating unexpected travel disruptions and adapting itineraries as needed.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Serve as a highly professional and discreet point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing confidential communications, screening correspondence and prioritizing inquiries with impeccable judgment.
  • Meeting and Event Management: Prepare comprehensive briefing materials, presentations and agendas for meetings and events. Coordinate all logistical aspects, including venue selection, catering and technology setup. Capture and disseminate key decisions and action items, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Information Management: Maintain confidential files, records and databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Conduct research and compile information to support the team's decision-making process.


Qualifications and Skills



  • Experience: 3+ years of experience providing executive support in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. Prior experience in financial services, consulting or a related industry is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate needs and proactively adapt to rapidly changing demands. Possess an unwavering commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Exhibit diplomacy, tact and discretion in all interactions.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate challenges, identify solutions and take initiative to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom and other relevant software applications. Experience with Concur or similar expense management systems is preferred.
  • Discretion and Confidentiality: Unquestionable integrity and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.


Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $70000-$110000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
