Job Purpose:

Uses advanced knowledge and understanding to lead the development and evolution of standard process flows and tools that enable the most effective and efficient utilization of Production Engineering Business Unit (PEBU) resources. With developed processes, drive efficiency and standardization through the creation of cost and resource data and analytics systems. This opportunity involves facilitating the execution of Honda's investment data strategy through reporting and visual management solutions to optimize efficiency and quality across Production Engineering's cost plans (70% of HondaDevelopment &Manufacturing of America (investment).

Key Accountabilities:



  • Lead quarterly spend timing forecast process for the Business Unit. Develop and maintain financial reporting KeyPerformanceIndicators (KPIs), CheckActPlan (CAP)-Doworkflows and tools, provide "plan vs. actual" cost tracking/analysis. Facilitate reporting to Accounting and Planning & Strategy BusniessUnit's.
  • Lead the development and creation of strategies including plans & targets to standardize and improve the cost and resource data and analytics tools for the Business Unit. Collaborate with Cost and Resource Planning teams to create proper business systems to achieve proposed improvement theme results. Prepare and deliver training to system users as needed
  • Implement best practice processes for data visualization requests, governance, and create/maintain related information.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics. Collaborate with system owners and IT to verify report/visual management implementation or changes.



Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Project Management, or Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics and/or forecasting cost
  • Experience with data structures (structured/unstructured) and data modelling in Power BI or other similar tools.
  • Experience in creating dashboards in PowerBI to visualize and access data.
  • Advanced-level Microsoft Excel knowledge and use to develop and test prototype tools before hardcoding and modify datasets as necessary for usability.
  • Mentorship/training of Cost Estimators, Resource Planners, Project Managers, Project Leaders, PPL's, and others that influence HondaDevelopment &Manufacturing of America investment planning.



Working Conditions:



  • Minimal travel (<10%) as needed to fulfil role, typically to Honda sites. Overtime as necessary to complete job function. Onsite role (80% onsite) in open office environment.
  • Occasional support to plant operations, requiring associate being comfortable on plant floor and other production areas.
