About the role:

  • The Lease Administrator will be responsible for reviewing, abstracting, entering and managing commercial real estate Lease information, as well as processing the monthly rent statements and account receivables/payables. Review and processing of monthly rental payments and real estate taxes. The role will also prepare process monthly ad-hoc reports.
  • This is a full time hybrid position in one of our posted locations, depending on location hired 2-3 days per week is expected.
  • Expected Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm but we can be flexible.

About the team:

  • Training and on-going leasing system guidance will be given by the Leasing Administrator Specialist. You will work extremely closely with this person for a number of months initially.
  • This positions primary focus is imputing data into the leasing system, processing rent payment batches and submitting them to the AP Department. You will work with landlords, accounting and finance in addition to the Real Estate and Facilities teams.

What you will be doing:

  • Lease/Sublease abstraction and data entry
  • Lease analysis and administration
  • Rent payment processing
  • Year-end Operating Expense Reconciliations
  • Customer service (Internal and external clients)
  • Perform special projects and other functions as needed (Acquisitions, divestitures, system customizations, etc.)

What you bring:

  • Minimum of two years' work experience in commercial real estate
  • Intelligent, highly organized and independent
  • Diligent and detail oriented
  • Experience reading and interpreting commercial Leases
  • Ability to prioritize, work well under pressure and use sound judgment
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Computer literate with advanced ability and knowledge of MS office suite
  • Familiarity with one or more industry standard Lease management systems a plus
  • Required work hours: Flexible but basically 8am until 5pm Monday through Friday
  • Overtime required: It is my understanding that Overtime is not paid for this position. During projects or at rent payment time you may need to work additional hours but the time is flexible. We are more deadlines driven and not as much of a schedule.
  • Weekends required: Not unless you have requested time off during the week - Again, our time is more flexible as long as deadlines are met.
  • Travel percentage for this role: None. May be some Leasing System users conference opportunities available but attendance is not required..

Added Bonus if you have:

  • Accounts Payable, Accounting or Finance industry experience
  • MRI/ProLease Leasing Management system expertise would be ideal but other leasing management systems acceptable. We are primarily the lessee but have a few sub-lease tenants.
