Your Role Blue Shield of California is looking for a consultant-level Sales Force Application Developer to join our IT Application Services team. The candidate will be a subject matter expert, within a technical discipline, contributing to Health Solutions Portfolio team. The candidate will contribute deep technical knowledge and experience toward Sales Force applications that enable generation, maintenance, and distribution of Blue Shield of California Health Solutions Utilization and Care Management platforms across the company in compliance with our regulators. This individual will help define and enforce standards, lead technical training, and serve as a specialist Sales Force developer in their specific discipline. They will be responsible for assuring solutions built within their scope are highly secure, performant, and robust. This includes effective communication and influence of IT, business, and vendor partners, providing solutions that are optimized for cost, quality, security, and fit for purpose. Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires 7+ years of hands-on design, coding, integration, and deployment experience in SaaS applications, with high-level knowledge of Salesforce applications
- Strong technical acumen & deep working knowledge of Agile Methods, Service Architecture, and enterprise Cloud Integration
- Requires Salesforce or Similar Custom application development with Integrations
- Extensive experience in Salesforce configuration and development including Workflows, Process Builder, Apex (classes and triggers), Visual Force page, Lightning Components
- Salesforce Admin/Developer certification is preferred
- Experience in Application Integration, design and applying to the Vlocity techniques such as Integration Procedures, Apex
- Demonstrated ability to formulate strategies, communicate and build alignment on concepts from ideation to execution
- Strong ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Ability to assess potential opportunities, risks, and issues, and make recommendations to resolve or course-correct as necessary
- Ability to effectively manage meetings and work regularly with a variety of stakeholders
- Effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to create, translate, and execute technical deliverables
- Proven experience educating & influencing others and collaborating across all functions and levels in a highly matrixed organization
- Healthcare experience in Membership, Enrollment, Provider claims processing & payments is preferred (Facets, FHIR)
- Experience working with external vendors & distributed on/offshore teams
