Milwaukee Public Schools seeks exceptional Instructional Coach - Literacy (PreK-Grade 2) candidates who are highly qualified and knowledgeable to join our community of teachers, learners and leaders. The Instructional Coach - Literacy (PreK-Grade 2) is a non-evaluative, non-supervisory teacher position who works with district personnel and teachers to support the implementation of district-adopted curriculum and resources to meet the goals of the MPS Ambitious Instruction plan. The Instructional Coach - Literacy (PreK-Grade 2) will use knowledge of state standards, early literacy and language development, data, developmentally appropriate practice, culturally responsive pedagogy, and adult learning principles to provide coaching and training to teachers in PreK to Grade 2 to aid them in planning and delivering highly effective lessons that close the achievement gap. The Instructional Coach - Literacy (PreK-Grade 2) salary schedule starts at $60,987.04 and increases according to the set salary schedule based on education beyond the required bachelor's degree and previous years of fully-licensed K-12 teaching experience. Salary range: $60,987.04 - 114,217.31 (1D - 200-day calendar) Equal Employment Opportunity
