About the role

We are looking for a Superintended Reliability Engineering to join our California team in Wilmington, California. This role is responsible for leading the maintenance, instrumentation/electrical, steam plant, storeroom, planning departments. This role will be key to ensure the safe operations and maximize the value of our operations.

  • Lead and develop front line leaders, maintenance planners and millwrights, instrumentation electricians, steam plant operators and storeroom employees.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in HSEQ through authentic leadership, Critical Risk Management and best practices in personal injury prevention.
  • Interact with our technical specialists to bring additional expertise to bear when required and to drive operational performance.
  • Take ownership over efficient/effective problem solving, decision-making, and action at the right levels.
  • Instill a culture of employee ownership in facility care and operation
  • Contribute to the development of the Capital Improvement plan and interface with the Borates Engineering Department.
  • Take ownership and drive the asset management strategy for the operations.
  • Have a customer obsession and desire to provide outstanding customer service to your internal stakeholders.

What you'll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field experience.
  • 8-10 years of operations & leadership experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining environments
  • Ability to understand and manage employees under Union environment
  • Ability to work in multi-functional and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills including preparation of reports and presentations for senior management
  • Ability to work towards continuous improvement team performance
  • Strong knowledge in fixed plant maintenance and asset management strategy.
