Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Audience & Data Solutions is responsible for developing and supporting all aspects of our Agency and clients' marketing data strategy, data utilization, insights, analytics, and technology enablement, with a focus on audience-centric solutions. This includes direct consulting, data insights, analytics, management, and technology strategy development for activation.

The role will guide the Agency and clients in developing multi-year data strategies from analytics and insights to activation, while also understanding and implementing technical solutions that drive marketing transformation and unlock digital business opportunities. He/she will work with a variety of data sources, technology partners and advanced data/analytics platforms to continuously evolve the Agency and clients' marketing effectiveness and ROI across all campaign types.

This role requires a strong understanding of both technical and business strategies, with a focus on audience development and activation. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, agency teams, strategic partners, and clients to create integrated solutions and accelerators that solve client challenges and drive new revenue opportunities for the agency.

Key Responsibilities:

Audience Strategy & Activation:



  • Develop and maintain automated data connections for audience-centric solutions.
  • Explore and adapt our work to existing and emerging systems for audience development.
  • Work with internal teammates, engineering, and product leads to help understand, document, and build customized solutions related to audience insights, analytics, modeling, dashboard creation, curation, and automation.
  • Work closely with engineering to protect customer data while developing new audience-focused services and products, including the implementation of security compliant processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the long-term health of relationships, delivering strong results and ensuring key stakeholders feel good about the overall success and value of those results related to audience initiatives.
  • Identify areas for enhancement and growth to our audience data strategy and setup.
  • Contribute to the success of the overall team by participating or co-leading training, product, or partnership development initiatives related to audience solutions as needed.


Data & Tech Solutions:



  • Provide leadership in marketing and digital transformation, understanding where IPG/Mediabrands and partner solutions integrate with holistic architecture and strategy.
  • Support workshops and project delivery efforts (documentation, workshops, consulting, assessments).
  • Translate business challenges to technical requirements.
  • Run client workshops and consulting projects.
  • Support the consulting lead in discovery meetings to collect, analyze, clarify, and document business requirements to support the implementation team and produce a detailed solution proposal.
  • Maintain a growing understanding of major Martech and Adtech partners (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Adobe, SalesForce, Google, OneTrust, Epsilon, LiveRamp, Neustar, etc.) and how evolving privacy regulations are driving innovation.



Desired Skills & Experience:



  • 5-6+ years of experience in data-related roles, including API integration, business intelligence, and data warehousing.
  • 6+ years of experience in solution consulting or pre-sales engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience working within an agency, brand, or adtech/martech vendor.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-location/multi-functional teams.
  • Experience as a technical lead/solution architect, working closely with Analytics/Data Science teams.
  • Experience working with both internal planning, activation and analytics teams as well as direct client contact
  • Familiarity with the impact of cookie deprecation and privacy legislation on addressable audience targeting and measurement.
  • Experience with audience tools and data sets such as Acxiom Infobase, Nielsen, ComScore, MRI Simmons, YouGov, Dun & Bradstreet, 1st party (CRM) data.
  • Bonus: Experience working with digital media, TV, or user data.



Skills:



  • Strong working knowledge of a wide range of technologies, including relational databases, Java, Spring, Hibernate or Angular, AWS, Ansible, Terraform, Snowflake, GCP, APIs, SQL, Python, Bash, Perl, PHP, Tableau, Looker, or other data visualization tools
  • Excellent architecture skills including hands-on experience building and designing end-to-end data frameworks
  • Strong understanding of data and technology platforms (i.e. LiveRamp, Amazon Ads, The Trade Desk, Google Marketing Platform, Neustar, Epsilon)
  • Basic experience with cloud-based architecture, (i.e. Salesforce Customer 360, Adobe Real Time CDP, Snowflake, AWS, Infosum, LiveRamp, Habu, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Understanding of analytics best practices and data requirements
  • Business judgment, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid planning, priority setting, time management and project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects and resources concurrently
  • Interest and experience in marketing technology and using the technology to strengthen the value accretive business strategy and transformation efforts for clients
  • Progressive technology experience in ad tech is a strong plus.
  • Flexible with the ability to keep up with a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

The salary range for this position is posted below.
