SUMMARY The Job Developer identifies career goals of individuals supported by Marrakech and matches them with community-based employment opportunities. This role involves job development, networking, advocacy, and ongoing support to ensure successful placements. The Job Developer also leads or participates in Community Connection Projects that strengthen relationships between Marrakech and the broader community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Match individuals with employment based on strengths and preferences.
- Conduct career planning and support employment goals.
- Develop and maintain employer relationships across the state.
- Attend job fairs, networking events, and community meetings.
- Provide job coaching and facilitate job readiness programs (e.g., Job Club).
- Advocate for economic self-sufficiency and meaningful work.
- Facilitate retention through employer communication and support.
- Deliver staff training on job development, coaching, and integration.
- Support development of best practices with funders and obtain relevant certifications (e.g., CESP through APSE).
- Participate in relevant meetings, reviews, and Business Advisory Committee sessions.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling (weekends, evenings).
- Safely operate vehicles for work-related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3-6 months of relevant experience or training.
- Driver's License
