Job Summary

Are you a CAD/PLM expert with a passion for optimizing manufacturing? Join us and drive innovation in digital engineering and production processes.
We are seeking an experienced CAD Specialist with strong Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Engineering expertise to join our team.
This role plays a crucial part in enhancing design, manufacturing processes, and digital integration across engineering and production operations. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of CAD Systems, a comprehensive understanding of PLM ways of working, and direct experience in manufacturing engineering to optimize production efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, and optimize CAD ways of working to enhance design and manufacturing efficiency.
* Provide technical expertise in CAD system, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
* Troubleshoot and resolve CAD and PLM-related issues with a focus on manufacturing efficiency.
* Provide domain expertise in PLM modules for CAD Integrations, BOM Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, Manufacturing and Process Planning
* Support daily PLM operations including maintaining, upgrading, testing and developing the PLM solution.
* Ensure data integrity, version control, and best practices within PLM and manufacturing engineering systems.
* Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to improve product development processes and ways of working.
* Apply manufacturing engineering principles to optimize process design, tooling, automation, and quality control.
* Provide End user support of CAD and PLM applications
* Lead training sessions and provide 1:1 mentorship to team members on CAD, PLM, and manufacturing best practices.
* Support documentation and standardization efforts for CAD/CAM, PLM, and manufacturing procedures.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:
* US Citizen due to customer and DOD security requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in CAD/PLM platform, with hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering within an industrial environment.
* Knowledge in PLM systems such as Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Systemes ENOVIA, or PTC Windchill.
* Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software like NX, CATIA, or Creo.
* Experience with CNC programming, tooling design, and post-processing is a plus.
* Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM), lean manufacturing, and digital twin concepts.
* Ability to analyze and optimize PLM-CAD/CAM-manufacturing business processes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work cross-functionally.
* Strong understanding of production processes, automation, and manufacturing optimization.
* Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production teams.
Preferred Skills:
* GKN Experience
* Experience with, NX CAD & Teamcenter is a strong plus
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to PLM and product data management
* Experience working with Model Based Definitions (MBD) in a Model Based enterprise (MBE) environment.
* Familiarity with ERP integration, supply chain management, and digital manufacturing strategies.
* Project management experience in PLM system implementation, manufacturing process optimization, or technology upgrades.
* Experience with Agile methodologies and project management
* Familiarity with Business Process Improvement or Lean principles
* Knowledge of document management, part management, BOM, BOP/Routing management, and access control (ITAR)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Self-starter with the ability to work under own initiative
* Certified in training/coaching others (train the trainer)
* Experience in end-user interaction and communication
* Experience or knowledge in integrations between PLM and other system/system domains
* Ability to travel, including occasional overseas travel

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is between $99,000- $135,000.
