Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Business Unit Manager - UV-Curing, the R&D Manager leads all research and
development activities across the UV-Curing business, including LED, Microwave, and Omnicure product
lines. This role is responsible for driving technology innovation, managing product lifecycle development,
and supporting strategic growth initiatives in alignment with the overall business strategy.
The R&D Manager ensures that product and technology roadmaps are aligned to market trends, customer
needs, and the active transition toward LED and advanced UV technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
* Develop and execute R&D strategies that align with the UV-Curing business objectives and
support overall market positioning and growth.
* Define technology roadmaps and innovation plans, with a strong focus on advancing the LED
transition and strengthening competitive differentiation.
* Partner with the Business Unit Manager to prioritize technology investments and resource
allocation across multiple product lines.
* Drive the management of the full product lifecycle, from concept through launch, growth, maturity,
and phase-out stages.

Innovation and Product Development:
* Identify emerging technologies, market needs, and industry trends to guide R&D initiatives.
* Oversee new product development activities, ensuring timely delivery of innovative, high-quality,
and cost-effective solutions.
* Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product management to translate customer needs into
technical solutions.

Operational Management:
* Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global R&D organization across disciplines including
mechanical, electrical, optical, and software engineering.
* Manage the R&D budget, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and within financial targets.
* Track R&D performance using KPIs such as project milestones, budget adherence, innovation
pipeline strength, and time-to-market.
Risk and Compliance:
* Identify technical and market risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project and business
continuity.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal quality
systems.

Collaboration and Communication:
* Serve as a key member of the UV-Curing leadership team, providing technical insight to support
business decisions.
* Present technology strategies, project updates, and innovation roadmaps to executive leadership
and key stakeholders.
* Foster cross-functional collaboration across sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams to
drive end-to-end business success.

Qualifications:
* Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related
technical field.
* 10+ years of R&D leadership experience in UV technology, industrial coatings, photonics, or
closely related industries.
* Proven track record in driving innovation, new product introductions, and successful
commercialization.
* Strong understanding of LED, UV-Curing, and industrial coating technologies.
* Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to operate effectively in a highly
competitive, fast-paced environment.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Salary range $185,300 to $200,200 depending on level of experience

This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
