We're hiring a Collateral Control Specialist to join our Credit Policy Team. Responsibilities Responsible for analyzing the sufficiency of appraisal and environmental reports used to support lending decisions and determine if they meet requirements from regulatory compliance and lending policy perspectives. Maintain proficiency by staying current on regulatory and professional standards, including USPAP that may impact real estate valuation and environmental assessment. Perform real estate valuation functions as required, in accordance with the Real Estate Appraisal Policy. Compile ongoing data with regard to local real estate sales, capitalization rates, and current or impending market trends that could influence values. Establish and maintain a systematic approach to managing all appraiser relationships, the assessment of appraiser eligibility (approved appraisal list), the tracking of appraisal assignments, receipt of appraisal reports, and the recording of actual appraisal results for future database research and local real estate sale data. Produce periodic reports for line and credit consumption on topics such as construction portfolio performance and capitalization rate trends. Contribute to the the efficient and effective operation of the Collateral Review Department to prevent the compromise of Univest's collateral position. Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years' experience in either a bank CRE finance or real estate appraisal environment with proficiency in property valuation and environmental assessment. Experience in all aspects of real estate appraisals and environmental disciplines. Must demonstrate organizational, analytical and research skills as well as the ability to conceptualize issues, adhere to Bank policy and procedure, and offer guidance to line and credit staff. Strong analytical and written communication skills required and must be able to support department objectives.
