Practice Director, Modern Infrastructure | Remote | Full-Time

The Practice Director, Modern Infrastructure is part of the extended leadership team and provides hands on strategic, operational, and people leadership for the Modern Infrastructure practices at Vervint. This role is responsible for setting the strategic vision and roadmap for cloud, workplace, and infrastructure services, ensuring high-quality delivery, and driving revenue growth through direct client engagement. As a senior leader, this role leads from the front, engaging clients, generating their own leads, and collaborating with sales to cultivate relationships and opportunities. This leader needs to grow our talent, foster innovation, and align closely with sales to elevate Vervint's eminence in the market.

In this role, you have the opportunity to build upon a strong foundation of services including project-based consulting and architecture, Cloud CSP, transitional Level 2-3 managed infrastructure, managed ERP/EHR and end user services. This role will transform and run project and managed services across a portfolio including workplace,

datacenter and cloud. This position requires an individual that brings a progressive lens toward automation and AIOps to significantly reduce manual intervention and run a predictive operation.

This leader will demonstrate thought leadership by actively contributing to the industry conversation through published points of view, blog posts, LinkedIn content, and participation in events. They will also lead the capture and dissemination of impactful case studies and support the packaging of key service offerings with compelling delivery and sales assets. The role requires a combination of technical credibility, strategic foresight, and proven leadership across consulting delivery and business development.

What You'll Accomplish:

Lead, Manage, Hold Accountable (LMA)

Provide clear vision, direction, and purpose for the Modern Infrastructure team which consists of project-based services as well as managed services.
Mentor Practice Leads and senior consultants to develop leadership and domain expertise across workplace, data centers, cloud and application portfolios.
Coach, mentor and develop team members by holding them accountable to performance metrics, Vervint values, and delivering client satisfaction.
Provides feedback to the team in a constructive manner.

Strategic Direction, Offerings, & Thought Leadership

Set the strategic direction for the Practice by representing Vervint as the subject matter expert, understanding the competitive landscape and able to share their vision with the team.
Define and continuously evolve the roadmap for Modern Infrastructure services, aligned with Vervint's business strategy and emerging market trends.
Demonstrate thought leadership through authoring blogs, publishing points of view, speaking at industry events, and engaging on social platforms.
Lead the packaging and ongoing refinement of core service offerings, including sales collateral, delivery playbooks, and marketing content.
Capture and disseminate client case studies to share best practices and amplify Vervint's market position.
Generate new leads via their network and being out in the market.

Project Delivery, Resource Management, & Quality Standards

Establish and uphold delivery standards, frameworks, and tools to ensure consistent, repeatable, high-quality outcomes and processes that scale and deliver.
Match the right consultants to the right projects based on expertise, career goals, and client needs.
Monitor delivery health metrics and proactively mitigate risks related to scope, budget, and client satisfaction.
Develop and manage nearshore/offshore capabilities.

Client Management

Act as an executive sponsor for key Modern Infrastructure accounts.
Cultivate and develop long-term, trust-based relationships with senior client stakeholders that result in referenceable clients.
Guide clients through cloud and infrastructure transformations with empathy, technical insight, and business alignment.
Serves as the client escalation point.

Financial Health

Own the P&L and drive financial health for the Modern Infrastructure Practice, including revenue, gross margin, and cost management.
Develop forecasts, set pricing strategies, maintain cost control, and partner with Finance to manage budget and financial performance.
Ensure profitable, scalable delivery operations that support growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and other Practice Directors to ensure alignment and execution of strategic goals.
Support pursuit efforts by contributing to proposals, presenting to clients, and aligning offerings to demand.
Collaborate on Vervint's brand presence through recruiting initiatives, events, and external content.

Billable Utilization

Achieve personal billable contributions, sales assist targets, and drive results.
Hold the team accountable to optimize team utilization and proactively plan for staffing needs in alignment with projected demand.
Proactively manage and make data-driven decisions to balance utilization, bench time, and delivery excellence, driving sales or ROI with non-billable activity.

What You'll Bring:

Demonstrated expertise in modern infrastructure areas such as cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), infrastructure automation, DevOps, platform engineering, and security.
Proven experience leading large, complex client engagements in cloud and infrastructure transformation.
Strong track record of publishing thought leadership and representing a firm externally in conferences, webinars, or publications.
Experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams, including senior consultants and Practice Leads.
Skilled in defining and executing strategic roadmaps, resource planning, operational oversight, and consulting delivery excellence.
Executive-level relationship builder and trusted advisor with clients and internal stakeholders.
Collaborative leader comfortable navigating ambiguity, driving change, and fostering innovation.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or combination of education and experience.
At least 15 years of relevant work experience in professional services or tech consulting.
At least 5 years of managing high-performing teams, including Practice Leads or senior consultants.
