Under the supervision of the Cancer Center Clinic Operations Manager, the Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for various clerical and administrative duties in support of daily patient services within all clinical areas. The scope encompasses greeting patients, check-in and check-out procedures, patient registration, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling for various Cancer Services clinics. The Front Desk Coordinator conducts registration, insurance, and authorization verification, updating patient demographics, appointment arrival, audit billing documents, disposition appointments, co-pay collection, managing/monitoring petty cash drawer, answering multi-line incoming calls, scanning of all incoming medical records, and working closely with Cancer Center physicians, nurses, staff and other UCSD departments. Other related duties are assigned as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $54,664 - $67,944 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $26.18 - $32.54 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
