Primary Purpose Sempra Infrastructure (SI) seeks an outstanding Health, Safety & Security (HSS) attorney with expertise in the energy industry, specifically including strategic legal guidance and support to the company's Health, Safety, and Security teams. This role ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, manages legal risk, and supports the company's commitment to operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and workforce safety. The successful candidate will provide legal guidance on a wide range of HSS matters and serve as a subject matter expert on related laws and regulations. This includes day-to-day counseling on operational activities, regulatory compliance, crisis and emergency response, incident reporting, and investigations. Prior experience advising energy companies or government agencies on emergency management is strongly preferred. The position will require excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with internal and external specialized consultants to ensure activities are conducted in an efficient manner with the highest level of skill and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will work seamlessly with diverse teams in the U.S. and Mexico and have the ability to manage complex projects, meet deadlines, and complete assigned tasks with minimal to no supervision. This position will interface with colleagues across SI offices in the U.S. and Mexico, with an expectation that the candidate can independently produce final documents and work with others on matters. The ability to provide commercially minded support to the business teams is also strongly preferred. Candidates should exhibit strong substantive legal skills (drafting and analysis), negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to collaborate and strategically partner with other lawyers and the business to achieve objectives.

$185,200.00 - $309,300.00 / year Pay Transparency
