Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Stop Loss Sales team as a Regional Group Manager based in the Wisconsin market!



About the role

The Regional Group Manager (RGM) is a member of the Benefits Distribution Sales Team. The primary responsibilities of this position include building, maintaining, and servicing a profitable block of Stop Loss Business by developing and executing a marketing strategy for targeting employee benefit brokers, consultants, wholesalers, and TPAs in the assigned territory.



What you will do


  • Merchandise, distribute, and sell Symetra's Stop Loss product/value proposition
  • Meet and negotiate with Symetra Underwriters on new and renewal stop loss policies in order to produce business that meets or exceeds target profit levels
  • Work with other Benefits Division distribution teams in Select Benefits and Group Life and Disability to develop cross-selling opportunities
  • Develop strong relationships with key internal and external clients (to include TPAs, brokers, wholesalers, consultants and internal customers)
  • Travel within assigned territory as required

Compensation

$60,000 annual base salary plus eligibility for Incentive Compensation

Who you are




  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, mathematics, marketing, and/or business related field or equivalent industry experience
  • Deep industry knowledge (5-10 years of experience working in insurance and reinsurance) of various insurance products, specifically stop-loss insurance
  • Established broker/agent/consultant relationships in the New York market and a track record of exceeding production targets
  • Applicable State Agent Licenses and Health Insurance Industry designations, such as LOMA, HIAA, etc.
