Job Summary and Responsibilities

The main function of a supply chain analyst is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical supply chain analyst is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Delivery Operations Management
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, customer satisfaction scores, and delivery costs.
  • Analyze delivery data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize delivery routes and reduce delivery times.
  • Develop and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all delivery operations to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Participate in frequent ride behinds to complete driver execution audits along with identify opportunities for improvement when on route.
  • Validates that 3rd party partners are meeting or exceeding expected service level agreements.
  • Acts as centralized escalation and day to day management point of contact for all 3rd party escalated issues.
  • Creates consistency of service execution with peers across the network
  • Analyze business trends on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
  • Validates that the open orders/work orders are being and updated by the 3rd Party providers in a timely fashion
  • Examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications.
  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
  • Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.

Necessary Skills/ Attributes:

  • Strong communication, customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials.
  • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong customer service and decision making skills
  • Weekend and holiday work required as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics or transportation, with a strong focus on last-mile delivery.
  • Proven experience in managing and supervising delivery teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and route optimization software is a plus.

Pay Range in the United States: $60K - $90K based upon geography, skills, and experience. May also be eligible for performance incentive opportunity based on company and individual goals and performance.
