Job Summary: The Sr. Manager of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) is responsible for leading the development and execution of CPI strategies across the Enterprise. The Sr. Manager will collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional teams in an ongoing effort to enhance the effectiveness and efficiencies of our systems, processes, and services to fulfill HOLT's strategic objectives. The Sr. Manager leads the CPI team in the effective use of an established continuous improvement and project management methodology to deliver measurable and sustained improvements in operational excellence. Ensures that the CPI Project Managers have the tools to effectively influence, model and teach effective problem-solving concepts. Essential Functions:
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Hires, coaches, develops, and influences effective and consistent CPI Team productivity and collaboration to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
- Develops and implements long-term business strategies to advance the mission and department performance goals in alignment with the vision for the Enterprise.
- Creates and sustains a collaborative work environment and leverages the highest and best use of team resources to drive efficiency gains and waste elimination targets on individual projects and across the entire project portfolio.
- Partners with clients to work with and through the members of their teams to gain a clear understanding of the opportunities, problems to be solved, gain consensus on a road map for success and achieve stated goals and objectives.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that change management is conducted in an impactful and sustainable manner.
- Ensures department and industry tools are leveraged to support effective management of desired measurable outcomes and reporting (Smartsheet, Box, SharePoint, Mini Tab, Lean and CPI tools, etc.)
- Maintains a library of project historical briefs and work product for demonstration and resource purposes.
- Develops and presents performance analysis and trends that provides Leadership with relevant and actionable insights to drive performance.
- Ensures that the work product delivered to clients at Phase Read-outs and at project conclusion meets or exceeds client expectations and CPI brand standards.
- Coordinate and drive participation in the delivery of Lean Fundamentals and Lean for Leaders training to promote and embed a culture of continuous process improvement at HOLT.
- Works safely and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of project management skills and Lean Continuous improvement discipline and application.
- High level of business acumen and attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in leading large-scale projects from inception to successful conclusion with demonstrated business value.
- Exceptional independent judgement skills using common sense and other principles learned to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts through observation and draw valid conclusions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with and through cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels to achieve the desired results.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to positively motivate, manage, foster teamwork, and professionally develop employees.
- Analytical skills and experience using data to drive decision-making.
- Demonstrated competence and commitment to achieve and exceed targets and goals.
- The proven ability to be dynamic and initiate change.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
- Certified Black Belt and PMP
- 5 years of experience in leading teams and influencing change
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Travel:
- Up to 35% to expect overnight stays, one to two times a month.
Physical Requirements:
- General office-related tasks with limited physical exertion required.
Work Environment:
- General office environment for a majority of the time
- Heavy equipment/shop environments must be visited based on business needs and initiatives.
