This position requires to be working in office, 3 days per week from our Bala Cynwyd, PA office. Position Overview The Vice President, Commercial is a senior leadership role accountable for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and increasing profitability within the Commercial Business segment. This role leads national and regional sales teams, cultivates strategic relationships with key commercial clients, and ensures the alignment of sales initiatives with broader company objectives. The VP will champion the development and execution of innovative strategies, high-impact channel development, and best-in-class performance metrics, while fostering strong cross-functional collaboration across the organization. Duties & Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: The VP will have direct responsibility for the P&L of the Commercial Business, accountable for generating revenue, while managing costs and ensuring overall financial success, including identifying levers for improvements.
- Strategic Decision Making: The VP will be responsible for elevated strategic decision-making. They will be required to have a deeper understanding and respond more intentionally to market trends, competitor actions, customer needs, and making decisions that balance sales growth with profitability.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: The VP will collaborate with Consumer Sales, Service Quality, Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to drive a deeper understanding of the customer, and development of the business model to maximize sales and profit.
- Long-Term Planning: The VP will own the strategic direction of the Commercial Business. This requires more skill in long-term business planning and forecasting, considering not just Commercial Sales projections but other metrics and how they align with overall Pep-Boys business profitability and growth objections.
- Cultivate and foster an environment of high performance, using performance management methodologies, employee development, career progression and rewards and recognition.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the automotive aftermarket, fleet services or related industry.
- 8 - 10 years of supervisory experience.
- Proven track record of managing national accounts and driving multimillion-dollar fleet growth.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership presence and ability to influence cross-functionally
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of sales forecasting methods and the ability to develop goals and initiatives aligned with overall strategy, market conditions, and operational capabilities
Skill in overseeing the development and implementation of sales management technologies, training, and employee development programs
Ability to drive successful sales execution across a diverse customer base, including national accounts, regional chains, and fragmented market.
