Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for a Supply Chain Analytics Analyst I. This position is in-office and located in Twinsburg, OH.

What You Will Do

  • Schedule and coordinate product shipments and/or raw material.
  • Schedule the transportation of these products with carriers.
  • Schedule loading of product with production units and the warehouse and/or raw material ordering with production units.
  • Managing and executing export documentation after loading.
  • Serve as a DOT "expert" including classifying hazardous materials for shipment, selecting proper shipping equipment/containers, and researching DOT questions
  • Provide support to other team members on various aspects of Material Distribution and/or Supply Chain.
  • Back up other traffic agents on an as needed basis.
  • Ability to be "on-call" 24 hours a day for all shipping and receiving issues.
  • Perform Lab QA/QC testing

What You Bring

Required:

  • Ability to make critical decisions concerning safe transportation of hazardous/non-hazardous materials
  • Strong SAP S4, Elemica and computer skills with the ability to expand knowledge into the shipping department.
  • Strong skills related to Transportation Management and Equipment Tracking
  • Ability to work independently and resolve problems
  • Fast learner with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate with unit personnel, carriers, and railroads to resolve problems, coordinate shipments, and achieve equipment and product movements in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work with personnel at all levels including team members, local management, Corporate Departments, and internal and external customers
  • Proven strengths in planning and coordinating work with multiple work groups
  • Current DOT training and certification for multi modal shipping or ability to pass such training course.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with product loading and raw material unloading
  • Familiarity with transportation equipment maintenance and a mechanical aptitude.
  • Prior involvement with production planning and scheduling.
  • Working knowledge of computer software including Word, Excel, Elemica and Microsoft Office.
