GENERAL SUMMARY

The Master Scheduler is responsible creating, maintaining, & reporting on time completion to the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in order to meet the organizations delivery goals. This position is responsible for the creation of a valid rough-cut capacity plan (RCCP). Additional responsibility includes monitoring and maintaining inventory levels to support current and future demand. The Master Scheduler is a key stakeholder & active participant in a robust, fully integrated sales, inventory, operations planning process (SIOP). The role provides guidance to the planners & demand flow coordinators in questions regarding demand priorities, as well as being a resource to assist with any lean initiatives impacting these areas of responsibility.

This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK's hybrid work schedule.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Develops and maintains a valid MPS using relevant key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Develop and maintains a valid RCCP using relevant KPIs.
  • Collaborates with all stakeholders, and is an active participant in, the SIOP process.
  • Maintains the integrity of all MRP finished goods item data and ensures forecast/safety stocks are properly in place to enable the accomplishment of on time delivery and inventory level goals. Continual analysis of the following factors:

    • Forecast vs. actual demand-FG
    • Lead Times (internal and external)
    • Order interval
    • Usage trends


  • Provides leadership in Lean Manufacturing implementation with any lean initiatives impacting their areas of responsibility.
  • Continuously improve scheduling & forecasting tools, processes, and methodologies to increase accuracy and productivity.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree with Business/Materials emphasis or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience with master scheduling & planning with MRP system in a manufacturing environment.
  • APICS Certified or equivalent experiences.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage a complex schedule in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Extensive ERP and demand planning systems knowledge. The ability to understand and navigate in Excel - manipulating and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple, diverse sources.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, extensive use of a personal computer and telephone.
  • Position requires movement around the facilities.
  • Occasional handling of material and components.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

DeZURIK offers a competitive base salary in the $73,735 to $92,168 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
